Scope of activity

Community "Dolina Redy i Chylonki" manages and coordinates certain duties of associated gminas in scope of municipal management.

In terms of water management the Union:

issues decisions on collective water supply and sewage discharging,
develops tariff procedures and approves fee tariffs for collective water supply and sewage discharging,
coordinates duties under the National Programme for Municipal Waste Water Treatment in Gdynia agglomeration.

The Union manages and coordinates segregated municipal waste collection, including hazardous waste by running:

door to door collection of hazardous waste
stationary collection points for hazardous waste (so-called PZON)
placing containers for collecting batteries in education centres
placing containers in pharmacies for collecting left over and overdue medications

Reviews local spatial development plans. Implements measures aimed at protection of the natural environment and particularily the Main Underground Water Basin no 110.
Several extensive projects are in progress today that have a transregional impact on the environment, i.e.:

investment project: "Dolina Redy i Chylonki - water supply and sewage collection" under the programme "Protection of Puck Bay and Baltic Sea Waters and the Main Underground Water Basin no 110",
"Comprehensive municipal waste management system", which includes waste management on the company premises of EKO DOLINA.
